Prior to shaving, prep with the Microfine Face Scrub to cleanse the skin and lift beard stubs for a smoother shave.

Is the Post-Shave Repair appropriate for all skin types?
It is recommended for all men’s skin types: from oily to sensitive skin because it does not contain alcohol, oil, fragrance or other irritants.

Why doesn’t the Post-Shave Repair contain alcohol?
Alcohol has a tendency to dehydrate skin and may provoke shaving problems such as ingrown hairs and razor bumps. Post-Shave Repair uses gentle, nourishing ingredients to keep the skin cleared and conditioned after shaving.

How long does it take to see results?
The Post-Shave Repair begins working as soon as it is applied by cooling and refreshing the face. When used regularly over several weeks in conjunction with proper shaving techniques, the Post-Shave Repair can help keep your skin and pores cleared and in top condition. How much Post Shave Repair should I use?

No more razor burn

I noticed that when I used this product on a consistent basis I have no more razor burn. This product has a low fragrance so it does not compete with cologne. It seems like the cost is high in regards to competitor products but the bottle lasts a long time and it works so this is an excellent value.

Nice to get compliments

I have always looked younger than my birth years by about 15 years. Works without hurting

When I see the words "after shave" I worry not IF it's going to sting,but how much it's going to sting! That is what "others" offer when you buy an after shave product. Not only does Post-Shave Repair NOT sting, it gives a smooth feel to your face. More importantly, it leaves your skin soft with no a trace of grease. Men's Science does the job without stinging or burning. That's a milestone in mens' facial care products for me.

Teaching an old dog new tricks!

At first I thought how effective could this spray be, and had it not have been for the free bottle with purchase I'm not sure that I would have tried this product. Having been a long term customer I should have known that this product was all that and more. After having used this for about a week I've noticed a more even skin tone, no dryness or oily feeling, and a smoother shave. Just a few pumps and you'll forget you even have it on your face as it dries very quickly. It may come in a small bottle and though somewhat expensive, it does everything it states and it far surpassed my expectations. I have yet to try a product from Menscience that doesn't do what it promises....and this product is no exception. I'll be adding this to my morning shave regimen.

Love it!

This stuff really works! I'm sure we've all experienced that slight burning sensation after shaving...this neutralizes the burn! It feels clean and refreshing going on, and it absorbs quickly so you don't have to worry about it getting on your shirt collar.

Puts out the face fire immediately on contact. My key to irritation free shaving.

I have exceptionally sensitive skin. Shaving only compounds the issue, and when you factor that in with potential for razor burn, ingrown hairs and acne, I have to take my grooming products seriously. Post-Shave Repair is my ideal "after shave" product. Though my face can tend to get irritated during shaving itself, this product puts out the "fire" and immediately my skin feels clean, toned, and calmed down. The combination of ingredients works wonders for me. Best of all, it doesn't sting, burn or dry my face out like so many other after shave type products can. I've paired this with the Advanced Shave Formula (non-foaming shave gel) and my previously terrible shaving experiences are over. Do yourself a favor...invest in either a good quality electric shaver or a SINGLE BLADE razor. There is such thing as "too close" and your face takes a real toll. Shaving is an art form. No more razor burn and bumps

this product is a very nice and excellent product for most of us guys who shave , l usually shave about 3-4 times in a day so every time my beard grows it has a burning sensation because I like a closer shave and this irritates the hair follicles in the facial area which either creates pimples or acne or razor bumps and dark pigmentation around the irritated area, using this product which has aloe Vera and tea tree oil , it acts like a soothing lotion to protect me from skin irritation after shaving and the tee tree oil soothes the hair follicles , which has helped me a lot in making sure I don't get anymore bumps and irritation and it is a great alternative to aftershave lotion which usually stings and burns me but with this product no more burns and stings .I Would Recommend you to buy this product and see the difference in your skin , also remember to order the shaving cream which helps you battle ingrown hair .

Great Product!

The Post-Shave Repair is a great product! It's quick and easy to apply. Just a few sprays is enough to treat my whole face and neck area. It calms and soothes immediately after shaving. I also use it as a moisturizer on my whole face in the winter even on days that I don't shave. Works great!

Did not work for me

I have found better cheaper products on the market that work. The only problem is while those products work,i thought this product would work better. I mean, for the price you would think it should. This being said, it did not. I see a bunch of reviews that are positive for this product. That's great. I can tell you, it did nothing at all for me and its so thin. It just runs down your neck. If there is one thing positive I can say about this product. It smells good!

Miracle After Shave

Is there anything you guys cant get right? lol

As much as its called Menscience you guys must have mad scientists working there because your products are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Purchased the Post-Shave Repair Spray along with the Advanced Face Tonic and as I said about the face tonic I will say about the spray..... SIMPLY THE BEST!!!! no burning, no itching, no redness, no irritation what so ever and yes it even works "down there" and its just amazing. Skin is so smooth and conditioned its unlike anything I have ever used. For those guys who hate shaving because of razor burn and that 'AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" feeling when you use those alcohol based products trust me this is the way to go. Results after just a couple weeks

Bought this after doing a lot of research into how to prevent ingrowns after shaving. Of all the products I could find online, this one had the best mix of ingredients. Most of what I read encouraged using either allantoin, tea tree extract, salicylic acid, or witch hazel, so I figured, "Why not try them all at once?" Fast-forward two weeks: no ingrowns whatsoever. Initially, it's a little weird just spraying the product on your face and having it just dry there, but it doesn't sting or anything and it's certainly worth it because it does the trick. If you use another aftershave or fragrance, just apply this stuff first. Highly recommended.

Good product

The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is it's price. I commonly develop ingrown hairs and acne related to this. After using this product for 3 weeks, I have not developed any in grown hairs and my face complexion has improved. I would definitely recommend this product.

Issue Using Post Shave Repair

The product is good at reducing the irritation caused by shaving. I am not able to identify the scent associated with the product; my spouse says it is more medicinal like than the standard after shave fragrances. The only problem I have is with the application method. The spray is hard to direct and it is somewhat difficult to control the amount being applied. I have found that spraying the liquid into my hand and then applying it to my face works best. It would be easier to use if the product had more of a lotion or gel consistency than the liquid.

Post-Shave Repair African-American Male's Experience

Having used various products to handle issues with ingrown hairs and razor bumps, as many African Males face, my experience with Post-Shave Repair was not significantly better in comparison. I tried the product for about 3-4weeks with little advances in the reduction of ingrown hairs and even experienced what some would consider an increase in ingrown hairs and razor bumps, though I was hoping for the contrary. The effectiveness of this product is average to less than average. I wouldn't go as far to say that the product was the cause of increased irritation I experienced, but for the cost, I expected much better results. Some of its previous reviews addressing the experience of African American males led me to believe that I may have FINALLY found a great remedy for this chronic issue, but that simply is not the truth in this case. I hope this comes as a help to other African American males as a honest and fair review without any misleading hype for or against this product. For me, it just didn't make the cut, therefore I will not be purchasing this product again, nor would I recommend it to other African American Males experiencing mild to significant skin irritation resulting from ingrown hairs or razor bumps.

I have been using this product along with the shave gel for about 5 months with no results. I use the post shave repair twice a day even on days that I do not shave. I have just as many ingrown hairs now as I ever have. I am not saying it doesn't work at all, it just doesn't work for me. Best after shave out there for sensitive skin

Just spritz it on your face and you're good to go. For a product that's so easy to use--you don't even massage it into your face--the Post-Shave Repair really makes my face feel good and look fresh. I've got sensitive skin that I often get bumps and redness on my neck even with an expensive fresh multi-blade razor. The Post-Shave Repair makes those immediately go away and stay away.

A+ for Post-Shave Repair It's the Real Deal

I been searching and use a lot of products for treating Ingrown hairs. Unfortunately none of them worked, until I came across this product. I use it two times a day in the morning and in the evening. I'm a black male, and it appears that Ingrown hairs affect us more often than any other culture. I have seen a lot of men who would get there heck faded with hair bumps popping out. So far so good

With other products after I use it for about 2 weeks, my skin seems to adapt and the product stop working. However, i've been using this for about 6 weeks, and still no breakouts as bad as I used to. I am going to wait for about 6 more weeks, before I agree that it is definitely doing it's job.

Not just for aftershave use!!

This is definitely one of the products to have in your shaving tool belt. Not only does it help combat ingrown hairs or just after-shaving sensitivity, this product can AND should be used every day. When sprayed all over, it leaves your face feeling even cleaner and less oily throughout the day, and you only need a little bit. 1 bottle, used every morning, should last you at least 5-6 weeks.

Awesome product!

When I first purchased this I'll admit I was skeptical. Could a simple spray really do the job? The Verdict: Awesome! I love this product. When you spray it on you'll feel all it's powerful ingredients going to work. I find that it itches slightly when I spray it on (not the burning you sometimes get with other products). I follow it with my a good quality aftershave balm that has cooling agents and it leaves my skin healthy and well conditioned. I use it alongside other Menscience products; facial scrub, daily face wash and advanced shave formula.

Works as Advertised

This product does seem to do a better job of preventing razor burn and ingrown hairs than the product I was using before--a similarly priced cream from Taylor of Old Bond Street. Usually I experience some irritation several days after shaving, as the hair begins to grow out again, but that has not happened with this product. The fact that it's a spray instead of a cream has some interesting pros and cons. In the past I've found that rubbing my face after shaving can contribute to formation of ingrown hairs, and using a spray instead of a cream eliminates the need to rub. On the flip side, I find it somewhat difficult to apply a spray efficiently. In each squirt I use an appreciable amount, and I feel like I have to use 3 or 4 squirts from different angles to get really good coverage of my face and neck.

NO MORE INGROWN HAIRS!!!

With coarse hair, I like to have a clean close shave. I was always dealing with ingrown hairs. Since using the Post-shave repair balm, I have really minimized ingrown hairs not just on my face but chest as well. Easy to use and one bottle goes a long way.

I've used a lot of products in the past that claim to soothe sensitve skin after shaving (including Tend Skin), all of which have failed...since using MS's post-shave repair, I have not ONCE had a razor bump or irritated area..top notch product guys...don't ever go out of business or discontinue...I don't know what I'd do...:)

Works on Black skin too

I found this product through google search. At first, i thought its for white skins only but i decided to give it a try. I am black, i have a problem of ingrown hair that causes bumps. I have used Post Shave repair with my cousin, it really works perfect. My ingrown hair has reduced drastically and my bumps. It does not burn and smells normal. This is the first product i have used that really work, its worth the money. Black men with a problem of hair bumps should try it

Excellent for military

Read a great review about this, got it for my husband a few years ago - now it's a staple. He's military and has to shave every morning and used to get the most horrible razor bumps and ingrown hairs - since he started using this, they've all gone away. Highly recommend for anyone with thick, fast growing beards or sensitive skin who has to stay clean shaven.

Razor Burn Is Banished...

This is a terrific blend of herbal compounds that doesn't dry your skin and helps banish razor burn. Ideal for sensitive skin. Must for heavy beards and ingrown hairs

Everyday I have to shave and by 5 I already have a nice shadow. Because of this I always have problems with ingrown hairs. I have noticed considerable less with this product. It's a god send. Thanks!

This product is outstanding and I want to thank you. My fiance bought me this for my birthday. I am a white male, 31 years old and have struggled w/ ingrown hairs since high school. They became infected, irritated, painful and embarrasing to the point I was cancelling business meetings b/c they were so bad. I've tried everything, TendSkin, microdermabrasion etc... and nothing worked or it dried my skin out so bad and smelled terrible. I use the spray 2 x per day and i have yet to have a severe ingrown hair after shaving. I travel a lot as well so the 4 oz. container is perfect. I really must say this has been a life saver for me. This product really works!!!

The post shave repair is a miracle product! My ingrown hairs are completely gone. I have tried everything and nothing has worked until now. I thought I was going to have to see a dermatologist but not now after finding this product.

IT REALLY WORKS!

I grew a beard that I maintained for over 8 years because I was so tired of razor burn. My kids couldn't even remember what I looked like underneath! My wife begged me to shave and found this product...what a difference!! They only reason it doesn't work is if I forget to use it! I would recommend it whole heartedly!!

As Advertised

This product repairs your skin as advertised. I periodically nick myself when shaving. This product quickly stops the bleeding and soothes my skin. I don't have to spend time waiting for it to heal or the sting of aftershave on it.

Home-Run Product

This product ties my favorites among all MenScience product. It's unlike anything I've used before. My only advice is just to go out and buy this stuff. Now, sleep easy knowing that your skin is going to feel like a cool, Alaskan wave sprinkled w/ diamonds.

As good as it says

I use it every time after I shave. It feels so great on my skin and leaves no oily feeling, NO IRRITATIONS at all. By combining the Menscience Advanced Shave Formula and this Post-Shave Repair, I don't see any blackheads or ingrown hairs anymore like I used to. And also, this bottle can last you FOREVER. So, I would definitely keep using it (not gonna change to other products). I would definitely recommend this thing to whoever needs a after-shave that's non-irritating, clears up ingrown hair, and LONG-LASTING.

No More Red Bumps

I love this product for one reason: I have a thick beard and on my neck, I get a lot of red bumps from ingrown hairs. After spraying this on my face and neck post-shave, the red bumps have disappeared. Even when wearing a tight collared shirt and tie, my neck is finally smooth and the ingrown hairs are gone. Also, it feels great when you spray it on, like it is cooling your skin.

This product is great!

I bought this product for my husband who was experiencing flaking skin and serious skin irritation after shaving. His face was very dry, and the after-shave he was using appeared to make it even worse! I set out to find him an after-shave that was alcohol-free to provide him comfort, as well as help repair and heal his incredibly dry skin. This product, coupled with the MenScience advanced moisturizer did the trick in bringing back a healthy face, and provide comfort and soothing after shaving.

Heavenly Spray Toner

This is the greatest toner I have ever used - it cools my skin down in cold weather and refreshes it on off-shave days. It's ideal for everyday use and the scent is masculine yet high energy.

It Does Work!

I have a severe ingrown hair problem, to the tune of having several laser treatments done to remove all the hair in my cheek area (both). I still grow a normal beard other than my cheeks & I do experience ingrown hair problmes in those areas. The post shave repair along with Men Science shave creme, face scrub, lotion etc...has really helped my problem. I am 34 years old now & I have battled this for 12 years. I can honestly say I am at my best now with my condition that I have been in 12 years.

Works better than anything we've tried.

I purchased this product with the daily face wash for my African American teenaged son. The combination of these two products improved his skin tremendously. He was suffering with terrible clogged pores, razor bumps and ingrown hairs. We saw results within 24 hours of the first use. Best Post Shave Soothing Solution

I use this product after I shave my head to minimize any possibility of razor burn. By and far this is the best solution to minimize and calm an area after shaving. Once I spray it all over my head it feels cool and I have NO bumps or irritation. I also use it on my face but since my head is more sensitive, I mainly use it on my head. Like Splashing Vitamins on Your Face

Once again, a great menscience product. I use this product every morning and spray it all over my face before applying the Ultralight Advanced Skin Lotion. The spray makes the lotion apply more evenly, smoother, and goes farther. But it's a great product by itself when you just want to spray and go without lotion...and still feed your face!

Directions

To help prevent irritation, razor burn or ingrown hairs spray over clean beard area after shaving.
Allow to completely absorb into skin before applying other products.
Repeat twice daily to help treat and prevent ingrown hairs.
To cleanse and refresh the whole face, spray over face area and allow it to evaporate or pat dry with a towel.

Additonal tips:
The Post-Shave Repair can be used as a gentle toner for the entire face. Its skin-conditioning ingredients like Witch Hazel, Salicylic Acid and Tea Tree Extract are ideal for keeping the face clean and refreshed.
