How often should I use the Microfine Face Scrub?
Use Microfine Face Scrub for men in place of Daily Face Wash at least once and up to 4 times a week. You should adjust this frequency as it suits your skin. Use a smaller amount less frequently for sensitive or dry skin, and more for combination or oily skin.

Should I use the Daily Face Wash with the Scrub?
Because of the exfoliating and cleansing effect of Microfine Face Scrub, you don’t need to use the Daily Face Wash when you use the Scrub as this would lead to excessive exfoliation.

Which should I use to exfoliate: Microfine Face Scrub or the Face Buff Brush?
The Face Buff Brush can be used with Daily Face Wash to gently get rid of grime and debris and lift up hairs to prep your skin for a close shave.

Top Of the Line Scrub

Im one of those guys who have very dry and dull skin. Ive tried more face cleansing and exfoliants than most girls. 99% of these products did nothing but make my skin duller, drier and very irritated for days. Ive used everything from low to very high end products keep In mind. This Face scrub is different though, they did something right here. I can not say what it is because Im not a chemist, but It seems like they put the most important ingredients up front without letting the more irritating ones take over the product, like many companys do to make them cheaper to make. This is an effective product and will not destroy your skin. After washing with the scrub and applying a moisturizer, I honestly feel like a million bucks. I highly recommend this product not just to men but women as well.

THE BEST PRODUCT OUT THERE

My husband is very hairy and his hair grows extremely fast so shaving for him is a daily requirement. He suffered with razor bumps and unsightly breakouts on his face and neck until I discovered MensScience and ordered the shaving products for him. I love this line of male products

I have always had issues with huge folicals and hair bumps but I used thia and had noticed a drastic change right away my skinned was tighter and even toned...so I have tried the facial wash..the mask with works wonders and lotion. ..I would recommend it to anyone and I have. Tywan Fobbs

Amazing stuff

I was looking for something that would clear my skin and prep my face for shaving. It took about a week to really see the effects of this product but now I cant live without it. Great thing about it is it last about 2 months. No more ingrown hairs or irritation but you must use all three products Shave Cream, Micro Scrub and Post Shave repair spray. No regrets here.

I love this stuff. I used to use it a few years ago and it really helped clear up my skin. I stopped using it and changed to a different routine when my skin cleared up, bad mistake. I'm just going to go ahead and keep using this til I die, or they stop selling it.

Finally a product that works for me.

At first I was hesitant to purchase this product due to the cost, but am very glad I did. This product does an excellent job of removing blackheads and definitely prepares the face for an easier, more comfortable shave. It does not irritate my skins as other scrubs would. Overall the product is excellent and to be fair, the only con that I see to the product, is a slight a chemical scent; but I really can't complain as the overall effectiveness outweighs the opinion of a scent.

The Best!!

I have tried several face scrubs and this one is my clear favorite. This product contains the most microfine particles compared to others I have tried. I actually use it every morning before shaving and I get the closest shave ever. My complexion is much more even since using this scrub and the age spots have disappeared. I also like the smell which is not overpowering. Two other scrubs I tried have all natural ingredients, but do not contain as many particles and one smells like mint which takes some getting used to or the other has a smell that is so overpowering I have to hold my breath to use it. This scrub is more pricey than those, but a classic case of you will get what you pay for.

Face Scrub

What can I say? The Microfine Face Scrub is the best product I've ever used. It has Glycolic Acid which is essential for skin health as well as many other excellent ingredients. It has Salicylic Acid for oil reduction but don't count on it for keeping acne away. I tried eliminating my other Cream Face Wash with salicylic acid and just use the face scrub but I started breaking out badly. Of course, everyone's skin is different and I tend to have very oily skin, more than most.

Definitely gets daily street traffic and natural pollution dirt out

I have for 50 years thoroughly washed my face at night; now it is twice as nice to have smoother skin and cleaner pillow cases. Other scrubs I have used; many more pricey; over the years does not offer both benefits.

Love this scrub

I've stayed away from scrubs because they tend to be too harsh for my skin. I heard great things about this one and one by another popular men's skin care company so I decided to try both and hands down this one was best! Its not harsh at all, yeah it does a fantastic job. The best face scrub ever!

I swear by this face scrub! It removes all the dead skin and black heads from my face without irritating it. The tiny beads roll over the skin so it doesn't have that scraping feeling that you get from other scrubs. I've been using this twice a week for more than a year now and it's probably the one face product that I'll be using until they stop making it. I use it with the daily face wash, tonic, and anti-aging formula and the results have been awesome! My skin has been smoother, less oily, and my acne scars have improved tremendously. I've tried so many products over the years and Menscience is just the best of the best.

Excellent Product

I recently purchased the MicroFine Face Scrub. I have been a long time acne sufferer and my Dermatologist has had me on multiple regimens over the years. She recently recommended that I start using an exfoliant two to three times per week to removed the dead skin cells and help unclog my pores. Given that I am also on some prescriptive topical medications, she recommended the MenScience brand and that I use it once the first week, twice the second week, and then three times the third week. After two months of use, I am so happy to report that I have seen tremendous results in my skin. I have not have a breakout for the last six weeks. I have suffered no irritation, dryness, or flaking. I noticed that my skin is less inflamed during the day and I don't have that appearance of greasy buildup. The congested pores around my nose appear smaller and are no longer clogged. I am happy to say that I am 38 years old and have had people compliment me on my skin for the first time in my life! I would highly recommend this product! I would recommend if you are on any topical prescription medications as I am, that you check with your Dermatologist before using this product. Just to be on the safe side. Thank you!

great exfoliating face wash

at times, my face will get flakey and I'll have dead skin making my face look like its peeling. After i use the microfine face scrub, all the flakes disappear making my face look normal again. It also helps to remove blackheads and deeply cleans out all the oils and dirt. It does leave your face a little dry afterwards so i would recommend using the face lotion as well.

Excellent , Effective Product

I've been using the Microfine Face Scrub for about a month and my peers have noticed a positive improvement in my skin's appearance and texture. The texture of the grains are abrasive enough to lift the facial hairs in prep for shaving, but mild enough for daily use without stripping the skin of it's natural oils; the perfect balance. the other ingredients aid furhter in exfoliation, removing discolorations, shrinking pores and revealing brighter smoother skin all around. Using this in conjunction with other menscience products even produces better results. I'm hooked!

Microfine Face Scrub

Overall a great product. I noticed results after my first use and it only got better from there. As a black guy I have a lot of trouble with razor burn and ingrown hairs after a good shave, but with the Microfine Face Scrub my shave has become much more comfortable and looks much better even days afterwards. Not that impressed

The directions say to "Massage with a light, circular motion for 1-2 mintues." No matter how "light" you do it, it feels like you're using coarse sandpaper on your skin, even for 30 seconds! I won't buy this again.

Smooth Skin Glows !

At 62 yo I find this product gives my face a subtle smooth glow, having exfoliated the old cells present. People ask me about my "secret" given the good skin appearance. I think it has helped reduce the small brown keratoses my family passed on to me, and may even reduce the tiny wrinkles that are creeping in. I've tried other face scrubs with larger gritty particles, and this one beats them all. I HIGHLY recommend it for three times weekly use.

First time user

I will be honest, I had never used an exfoliant on my face before. So, using this product was a new experience for me. My girl uses one twice a day, so I sort of knew what to expect. This product goes on easily and lathers up nicely. By using the MS brush, you can really work this product into your skin. You truly can feel a difference after you rinse. I have used this product 5 times, and co-workers have already commented on how good my skin looks. Great stuff!

If it ain't broke then don't try to fix it.

I've been a loyal MS customer since I first discovered their products back in 03', however, I'm not really feeling this new face scrub formula. The content is very thick and pasty. When I first opened it, I thought it was, well I don't know what I thought it was, but it wasn't what I was accustomed to using. Once I began rubbing it on my face, I could feel the scrubbing particles but they weren't as prominent as the previous solution, it almost feels as if they begin to diminish after a short time. Because it's so thick, it takes more effort (and more product), I feel, to get the job done. I'm not saying this is necessarily a bad product, nor do I think it fails at what it's designed to accomplish, I just feel that compared to it's predecessor, it doesn't achieve with near the same impact. Especially when used to shave prep. Maybe other customers felt the previous face scrub was to harsh and that's why MS changed to the new format, but, I hope MS returns to their roots with this product.

Product does not seem potent

When i bought this product i was expecting for the product to be more potent compared to store brand product. With the type of ingredients that they high lighted on the label and online page It was far from being potent. I feel like even a store brand product was as potent as this product. I feel like if i pay this amount of money for this type of product it needs to be alot more potent. I might as have well went to Wal-mart and spent $5 and got the same potency and efficiency.

This facial scrub is amazing and simply does not compare to any other product of its kind on the market. It contains high quality, natural ingredients, and while skeptical about urea being an ingredient - in all actuality it is an organic compound and plays a vital moisturizing role thanks to its nitrogen-rich qualities. This scrub also serves as the choice precursor to a perfect shave. A bit pricey, but worth every penny.

The most luxurious facial scrub I've used

Excellent product!

I use this stuff every other day or so prior to my morning shave. It seems to help smooth things out prior to subjecting my face to the blade. There is a warning on the package that some of the ingredients may make your skin extra sensitive to sunlight, so keep exposure to a minimum or use sunscreen... For what it is worth, I live in the desert and I haven't had any problem. I like that it doesn't have a nasty smell and it doesn't feel like a handful of wet sand. Simple, not greasy, just abrasive enough, and washes away clean.

Great Face Scrub

I have used a bunch of different products from other brands the past couple of years. Because I've had great success with other MenScience products (deodorant, advanced face lotion, Tio2 sunblock), I decided to give the face scrub a try. I use the face scrub every other day and it works great at smoothing out and preparing my face for a close comfortable shave. The face scrub has small fine beads and is great for buffing and smoothing your face. Very good product.

Best Facial Scrub I've Ever Used, must have for Men !!!!!

I purchased this scrub couple years back and I loved the results it gave my face. My skin felt great and looked very healthy. Nonetheless, I finsihed the product and I forgot the name. Shame on me! Best scrub

This is the best scrub on the market, in my opinion. The salicylic acid helps with acne prevention. I like that the product also has a high concentration of small particles (instead of larger particles in smaller concentrations like other scrubs)

Microfine Face Scrub

I use this product as pre-shave when I want to shave my face completely or when I just want to trim up a thin beard. I have ordered this product many times in the past. I have always thought this product helped to soften my beard. When I have used it in the past, there is normally a thicker, "soapy" type of foam that develops which allowed me too spread it easy on my face. However, this last bottle I received basically had no type of foam action at all. I will order another one but if the same thing happens, I will no longer order this pre-shave type of product from Men's Science.

An Absolute Must-Have!

I saw this product in a magazine and thought I would try it out. I have never bought anything else since! I even order 2 or 3 at a time because I know I will use it. It's a far superior product than anything else I've used before. I use the scrub almost every morning. It leaves your face clean and smooth. There's no fragrance so it's perfect for sensitive skin. It's great before shaving too. I never travel anywhere without it. Best Scrub I've Ever Used

Unlike a lot of products I have tried, this one holds together very well once you lather up with it (with some, the grit separates when wet and it's harder to get a good scrub). And it's not so gentle as to feel like it's not working. Very refreshing!

I feel like I have tried every scrub through the years. I've used from very expensive speciality brands to low end drug store brands and this is the star that blows the rest away. Whether I use as a pre-shave or before moisturizing at night this scrub leaves my face sooooo smooth and soft. Seems pricey but its not. Takes a little for big results.

Exfoliating face cleanser

I have been trying a bunch of different products in the past couple of years. I read that the best scrubs have small beads and this microfine scrub has just that. Honestly the first time I used it before shaving and paired it with the advanced shave lotion, it was the best shave I have had. It works really well as an exfoliator and hides my laugh lines and just makes my face feel more fresh. I can't really imagine there being a better facial scrub.

Best Men's Scrub On the Planet

I use the scrub every day as my face wash, morning and night. As recommended by Men Science, I massage the scrub on my face in a circular motion for 1-2 minutes, and then let it sit for 1-2 minutes for extra exfoliation. Leaves my skin soft, helps with breakouts, and definitely improves the complexion. I have sensitive skin, and the scrub does not irritate it. The only con I can think of is daily use for people with extra sensitive skin. Overall, this is the best scrub on the planet for men! Take advantage of the twin pack! Go MenScience!

This is a really good product

I use this product a couple times a week, or when I feel like the daily face wash just isnt working well enough. Things that are great about this, is that you have never felt cleaner then after using this product. I havent found anything negative about this product, other then you recieve a small amount for the cost.

Great Exfoliator

Great to use before shaving. I have to shave every day and without a break in between I would get ingrown hairs every now and then. I haven't had any since I started using this product. Make sure you have a good moisturizing after shave, as this product will dry out you skin significantly.

Great Facial Scrub for Men!!

This is one of the best facial scrubs I've used for Men. I used to use Lab Series facial scrub but the tube was kind of small and expensive. Then I tried out Menscience and have been very satisfied. The tube is not huge but good enough to last a while. The scrub has no odor and is very effective and efficient at removing dead skin from your face because it has a rough texture to it compared to other scrubs. Lab Series was very mild compared to this scrub. I would like to mention that when I received my bottle of Facial scrub, the top of the tube had a hole on the end and when I would squeeze the tube, the scrub would come out of both ends of the tube.[...] I would recommend this Facial scrub to men only.

Really does improve complexion!

I am Mr. Skeptical...

This face scrub is the best product I have ever used. It leaves your skin SO soft and clean. Definitely worth every dollar. My girlfriend notices how soft my face is after every use. Expensive but worth the investment.

not sure if it "exfoliates"...

after usage, my face feels smoother but i don't think there is any noticeable difference. maybe i need to use this product longer, i've only used it 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks. maybe i had too high of an expection after using advance facial lotion. now that stuff is AWESOME!!

Makes shaving a breeze

Using this product prior to shaving creates the closest, smoothest, and longest lasting shaves I have ever experienced. My wife loves it how smooth my face is. Seems to extend the life of my blade as well, and, rather than an uncomfortable tearing, the blade glides over the stubble and simply seems to wipe it off. I am sold on this product.

Don't be a scrub!

I have tried many other mens exfoliating scrubs but none are as good as this one. What sets it apart for me is the particle size and shape. It does not scratch or unevenly abrade my face. The viscosity of the vehicle also is perfect for moving the product over the face. It won't break down immediatly so you don't waste it or get uneven scrubs. I always use it before I shave. I have sensitive skin so I only need a light rubbing to do the job but it will get the job done if you usually need a belt sander.

Good Scrub/Bad Container

The product is good, the container is not. It is extremely difficult to get any product out of the container, squeezing the container as current designed caused the scrub to leak out the side of the cap. As the container empties, a large amount of scrub collects at the mouth of the container and can't be taken out by squeezing the container. How about using a tub container?

Sets up a great shave

Best scrub in the world period!

This product should win some awards! Best microscrub ever.. I use this about 4 times a week before i shave and it helps smooth out my face for a clean shave. It Works

For men considering which out of a myriad of skin care products to buy, there's only one relevant question - does it work? MenScience products are consistently effective. Works wonders

The face scrub works wonders on my face each time I use it. It provides a great cleaning without being too aggressive on my face. My only complaint is that it is thick and is tough to get out of the bottle. I little annoying but the overall result is so good that I will put up with it.

It Works!!

I use every morning before shaving, and it definitely makes my face smoother and brighter. My skin just feels better after using it, I use this before shaving, after my shower, and the Daily Face Wash before I sleep. People have definitely seen in a difference in brightness. I have had fewer breakouts, and I do have really oily skin. Although I wish it would have helped a little more with the few dark spots I have. But still overall a very good product. I recommend it.

Say goodbye to those ingrown hairs

I shave every other day and use this product in the shower after shaving. This keeps me from getting ingrown hairs and really helps my skin soak up the moisture in the shower. My fresh scrubbed face soaks up the Ultralight Advanced Skin Lotion after the shower. I also use it on my hands to keep dead skin at bay. Good Stuff

I really like this product. It really does help exfoliate your skin and works to fight ingrown hairs. I use this product before I shave and it does help soften your skin and open up your pores for a close shave. I use this product everyday because I have to shave everyday. The only thing I don't like is the packaging. It's hard to get the product out of the hard container it comes in. I am going to continue to use this product and I will buy it again.

The only Scrub doesn't dry your face

I also have sensitive and uneven skin. This scrub works well on my skin and I don't even use it regularly (twice a week). This is one scrub that you can rub on your face for minutes and still won't dry your skin; not to mention the smooth and revitalized skin at the very first use.

Exfoliating taking to the next level!!!!

I have tried every scrub out on the market today. I prefer a scrub that has some backbone to it. What I am saying is that I like one that you can feel working. I use it three days a week as I do not shave every day. You will get the closest shave of your life with this product. It makes unwanted black heads dissapear. One of the key features of this product is that it only takes a small amount. So a bottle of this scrub will last a while. I am an ordinary guy just like you. The Best Period!

Directions

Thoroughly wet face and neck with lukewarm water.
Apply a small amount (about 1 teaspoon) with hands to face and neck area.
Massage in a light circular motion for 1-2 minutes. Avoid eye and mouth areas.
Allow Scrub to sit on face for an additional 1-2 minutes if you desire additional cleansing.
Rinse well.
Repeat 3-4 times a week.

Additonal tips:
If you are not used to Microfine Face Scrub or have sensitive skin, reduce the amount, frequency, and time of application of product until your skin becomes accustomed to regular exfoliation.

Leaving Microfine Face Scrub for men on face and neck for a couple of additional minutes after massaging into skin allows the ingredients to fully cleanse the skin. Once the time is up, rub the Scrub in a bit more before rinsing away.
