Fish Food for Your Brain

Medical researches have continuously suggested that eating fish can highly benefit the brain and its process of thought. Recent publications claim that consuming fish at least once a week promotes healthier brain functions than eating it less frequently.

These studies specifically connect Omega-3 Fatty Acids found in oily fish to mental functions, thoughts, reasoning, perception, intelligence and learning. EPA and DHA Omega-3 fatty acids are good for the brain and vital for our minds all through our lives, and generally, we don't consume enough foods containing Omega-3 EPA/DHA, for which it is particularly recommended taking an Omega 3 Supplement, and eating foods rich in Omega 3 EPA/DHA.

Now, since it can be very difficult sometimes to eat fatty fish, as many people dislike its taste (both young children and adults), taking daily doses of a maximum-strength (1,500 mg) Omega-3 concentration with an optimal ratio of EPA, DHA and DPA is the best way to include this food for the brain into their daily diets.

Start taking Omega-3 Supplement Formula and you will notice the difference in your cognitive skills after a few weeks. Give your children Omega-3 EPA/DHA to help them improve their intelligence and concentration.

About Omega-3
Omega-3 fatty acids are a family of unsaturated fatty acids consisting of essential fatty acids: EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) among others. It is naturally present in the body, and found in oily fish, flaxseed, eggs, meat, milk and cheesse. They help support the health of the brain in men, according to the FDA.

A Change of Pace When You Run

Are you a runner? I am. Last weekend, I went to San Francisco, CA. Ran the length of the city. I can't quite tell you where, because I got pretty lost, but the experience was incredible. You can't really see a place until you've seen how the people there live, work and eat - until you're really among them. For me, running does this. It's amazing how great a run in another place can feel. Alright, so the cooler climate helped a bit - okay, it helped ALOT - but so did the change of pace...

Experts agree that for optimal results, it's essential that we make changes to our workout program every once in awhile. Giving the body's muscles new stimuli not only encourages muscle growth, it also enhances our results.

Fitness gurus suggest that we change our fitness regimens every so often, perhaps doing more cardio than strength-training one week, and more strength-training than cardio the next. They also recommend changing the order of exercises and the amount of repetitions. Besides challenging muscles to work better and harder, these change-ups maintain your interest and focus on each workout session.

Also, as a reminder, use the pharmaceutical-grade MenScience Omega 3 Supplement Formula for joint support and muscular mobility. If' you're a runner like me, your knees will thank you.

Take Heart This February...and Protect It

While not quite as catchy as National Condom Week, February is also American Heart Month. This year the focus is on promoting greater awareness of heart disease among women (since heart disease is commonly thought of as a "man's issue"), but there's no question that men can benefit from improved heart health. After all, according to the American Heart Association, coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death in America. And unfortunately, many men don't even realize they are experiencing a heart attack until it is much too late.

Know what to be aware of and act fast. Signs of a heart attack include:

  • Pressure, pain or discomfort in the chest area
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nausea and dizziness
  • Pain in other areas of the body such as arms, back, or neck

If you experience any of these symptoms, contact emergency services right away.

Acting quickly can improve your chances of surviving a heart attack, but the best course of action is to prevent heart disease before it begins. This means eating a diet rich in heart-healthy foods like fish, whole-grains and fruits and vegetables, getting regular medical checkups, exercising and complementing your nutrition with a reliable daily supplement. MenScience Omega 3 Supplement Formula contains a pharmaceutical-grade source of Omega-3 EPA/DHA fatty acids, which may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease in men. For more information about Omega 3's benefits, check out the article Heart Protection for Men with Omega-3 Fatty Acids.

February is officially American Heart Month...let's work to make this American Heart Year.
